I dig it - however, I couldn't help noticing the very unsharp crappy scan (or could it come from youtube or perhaps the new Kodak Super8 camera/lens? I remember the Logmar was a bit soft. I know Super8 can look so much better and sharper. What do you think?

Re: Kodak teams up with Girl Skateboards
Hi Andreas,
Thanks for putting this up.
I think it was always pretty obvious where Kodak were going to try and position themselves on both the camera and filmstocks, the skate clip is none too subtle about this with the intercut digital stuff.
I for one would hope that in their marketing they shift their focus away from obsessively low-fi, light-leaked, flared lens, done-to-death cliche....but I'm not holding my breath....
If they want to inspire the digital generation to really buy into this stuff, they need to be setting the bar a little higher and showing what their products and their colour, combined with some genuine creativity can actually do....
A 2017 'board-short' in super8 needs to be at least at the level of this (16)....

This looks like get your grandfather's Camera out & make a bad film .
I sure if kodak would approach or ask Filmmakers old & New alike . Or even draw from there History on what can be done with this 50 year old film format .
Still a very poor show from Kodak .

Re: Kodak teams up with Girl Skateboards
The look is intentional, it is part of the scene. I mean, there are people in this day and age who intentionally are looking for DVX100 in order to shoot skateboarding movies with one...

Then would be way cheaper to use one if that's the Look . As film is not video or sd as we know .
