Wittner just shipped a batch of Tri-x, V3 50D and V3 250D. I ran out of Tri-x, but this solves that problem. The 250D is new. Haven't shot any yet.

Tri-x is a reversal film. You shoot it, have Spectra process it, and project it.

8mm film starts out as 16mm film. When Spectra processes it, they cut it down the middle and splice the two parts together. That makes a 50' x 8mm film.

I did order Regular 8mm print film. That should ship from Germany next week. Then I'm going to have fotokem print some tests.

Check out the film path for that Movikon. Wow!

After designing that camera, the engineer went to work for HP, designing paper paths for their scanners and printers.

I have a Movikon 8, it's a nice little camera. I actually took it snowboarding a few years ago and it worked great for that.

There is method to their madness concerning the film path for the Movikon. It reminds me of the legendary Debrie Parvo 35mm movie camera and others. The twist the film makes before entering and exiting the gate registers the film stock against one edge of the film gate eliminating weave. I have several Kalart Victor 16mm projectors that use the same principle to great effect.

Yes, I said about only the negative, I know the Tri-X.
However, even without that service, Vision3+telecine is also excellent, my is only a curiosity about how would Regular 8 Vision3 in projection, but it's also ok actually service.

Film slitters are sold on ebay and you can process and slit it yourself if you have a mind to. I even saw a movie film dryer rack for sale recently.
