For European customers Frame24 is the closest (both in ease of use and pricewise) to buying directly from Kodak: Http://www.frame24ltd.co.uk

I would wait and see what the next few months bring. The new camera, new lab in NYC, and new process/scan package deals have yet to be released. I'm thinking Kodak NYC might be a new worldwide hub for S8 film/process/scan... Just like Kodak Switzerland used to handle all of our pre-paid Kodachrome.

There is an European Kodak lab now in UK: http://www.kodak.com/us/en/corp/press_c ... efault.htm

It'll be interesting to see how these things develop. Considering that in order to join the Kodak's new super-8 network one has to live in certain countries (for example, Germany -- Finland isn't one of them) it might be possible that there will be several Kodak hubs spread in different countries: NYC, UK iDailies, Germany? While thus far there hasn't been any word on Germany, we do know that Andec is expanding its laboratory capacities, part of which is stopping E-6 processing...

What's really interesting is how Kodak is changing their entire motion picture film business model with this lab. They used to just sell the film and the chemicals.

I guess they had to ensure that there was a lab left, but that puts those few remaining labs in a tough situation. For those labs to survive this long and then have Kodak put them out of business is tough.

I didn't realise that Andec are stopping E-6. That's bad news. They are really good at this. Where did you hear it ?

On Andec's website:
"Due to large-scale refurbishment works and increase of capacity of the laboraty section, we will stop processing of color-reversal at October 6th, 2016. Processing shall be done by Super 8 Reversal Lab Netherland (www.super8.nl). Delivery shall be appropriately extended. In case of urgent request, please feel free to contact directly Super 8 Reversal Lab Netherland. "

http://andecfilm.de/en/e_start_new.html

It's really no surprise though -- at the moment there are no companies producing new E-6 film. Wittner is selling its last batch of Wittnerchrome 200D and Provia 100F sold by Retro Enterprises is so expensive that quite few buy it.

However, what I have read is that should someone bring to market a new E-6 film next year, Andec will reassess the situation and could resume E-6 processing.

Thanks for that info. Lets hope when Ferrania begin in earnest, Andec will resume E-6. Because I film in Ultra-16 I need very clean processing without any wear right across the width of the film, and Andec always fulfill this requirement. I've never sent any film to http://www.super8.nl and I didn't even realise they processed 16mm. Has anyone here had any 16mm results from them ?
