Do you know if for the splicing of a negative film (with A B metod or not) is recommended a different "cement" or it's Ok usual cement like Kodak, Hama, etc.?
I read an article on a site of a cement that was designated "suitable for negative", it's "Cinefix", and then I thought that there might be a variant...
But if I buy a Cinefix I can also use it with all the rest of the acetates, even positive?
Another curiosity: what is this? http://www.ebay.it/itm/Kodak-Rapid-Moun ... xyhs5SLr1t
Thank you!
Alternative "cement"?

Re: Alternative "cement"?
As long as the film base is acetate, why would the cement for negative film be any different than for positive film?7OSE9 wrote:Do you know if for the splicing of a negative film (with A B metod or not) is recommended a different "cement" or it's Ok usual cement like Kodak, Hama, etc.?

You can make your own film cement but it's so cheap I don't think it's necessary. This has been discussed here before, there is a recipe in this thread:

I don't think that's film cement on your eBay link.

I know "homemade" cement, but you're right BAC, for the price that it costs not convenient take time and ingredients to do it yourself.BAC wrote:You can make your own film cement but it's so cheap I don't think it's necessary. This has been discussed here before, there is a recipe in this thread:

Cinéfix is the standard cement from Agfa which has always used by amateurs to edit their reversal film.7OSE9 wrote: But if I buy a Cinefix I can also use it with all the rest of the acetates, even positive?
Thank you!
Or was this name adopted by another company?
Kind regards,
