Workprinter XP - cleaning lens etc

I have just started to use my Workprinter XP again after a long absence and I need some advice on the Gaf lens assembly.

I have managed to carefully remove it but I'm not sure it's back in the right position. I removed the knob and screw and removed the cover. I then removed the 2 screws from a metal bracket and then gently turned the lens to avoid damage to the spiral thread on the lens and pulled it clear. Having cleaned it I reversed the procedure and it works OK but I'm not sure it's centralised correctly in relation to the adjustment lever. I hope this was the correct procedure but if it wasn't I managed not to damage anything.

Also do I use glasses lens cleaning wipes to clean the mirror and lens magnifier?
