Winding a film onto a reel for digitisation?

This may sound daft, but my Super 8 film is on the dryer and I do not know the correct way up or way round to wind it onto a reel to send to be scanned. Clock-wise, anti-clockwise etc? Never worked out a way of telling except by trial and error with a projector. A diagram would solve it. I can memorise diagrams.

Any help please?

EDIT. I'm fine now I've done. I was just over-thinking things.
