Elmo Super Filmatic 104 Battery and ....

Hi,
Just found the forum. This has likely been asked before but can someone please tell me the proper substitute battery for the 625 in the Super Filmatic 104?
I've read the articles discussing two possible replacements for the battery, I just haven't been able to locate the information relating to this camera.

I picked it up today at an estate sale because it was piled in with a box of film. I replaced the 4 AA's and the power tele works but I don't hear the film motor running. Does it require a film magazine with available film to run or is my camera not worth trying to find the battery for the light meter?

Also picked up a B&H Director Series 414. It seems to work and no batteries required!
