Hi Thierry, Nice film thank you for sharing , It can be a hard thing filming a young child as I know to well ? the light can be good the scene just right but then my son will not look at me or walking away or keeping his head down , Well done !Thierry wrote:Hi,

yes, she was 18 months at the time so the acting directions were useless. I had to hide raisins to get her to go from A to B

For the crane, we used a custom made crane (that we transported) on our bikes across the fields

Yes bicycles were as amazing an invention as the cinematograph camera. And they are handy indeed for transporting gear to out of the way places.Nicholas Kovats wrote:Love the reality of bicycle based cinematography!
Incidentally it reminds me of a crane I made years ago out of bits of aluminium and bicycle wheel bearings. Very smooth, though when the two arms folded in they tended to amputate ones fingers so I rarely use it now. Also it can be troublesome carrying the weights but I guess you could use local stones or earth ?
