I did try different things first without film but realized that tha camera was going slower in reall time with film.
So you can look at the wave form and just count them up? Ingenious. I guess you can see by the clicks how far off from sync it is.

I did try to count the frames by looking at the waveform but it is dificult. What I do is that I can se when it start and when it stop. Then I knew exactly how long the scen is and I can then count the frames on the final developed film and see how many to much or to less.
When I´m close then I mark the seting on the frame by second knob.
