I like this 3D printed reel - very neatly done - but am I right in thinking it is a modern version of a split reel? This is a metal film reel which can be opened into to halves, into which you load a film on a core. Then you close and lock the reel, and can run the film in a projector. We use them at my cinema club, sometimes, to avoid winding cored films onto reels before a show.

On the subject of expsoing EK160 at 10ASA - can we see an example ? I have some of those carts as well.

cheers

Hi Phil
At the moment it is a split reel. But I haven't made a lock for it yet. This is easy to add though. At the moment it is holding together because its a tight fit. My intent was to just glue the two halves together with acetone. But I will add a lock if it will be handy. :P

I haven't shot with the plugs yet but I will asap and post a test for you guys to see.
cheers
Miles

Is it possible to do asa plugs to the Adox pan-x Gk film cartage?
I have bout 10 of them that I will re spool with Orwo and other film.
I'm most interested in asa 50 and 25.

I'm not sure if its the same shape as the kodachrome but if you have an old roll of kodachrome laying about you could compare, than you will know if it fits or not.cheers miles
