anyone tried this….my plan is to use this 3d printed plug to trick our nizo s800 into thinking its using a 10asa stock instead out of the original ektachrome 160asa. About to test it.
was referring to peacemans handy asa settings chart. if it works i will post the stl file
Yes good question…i should have explained….the film is 30 years out of date and its exposure has dropped by 4 stops. So this is to compensate so we can use the cameras inbuilt light meter….amazingly it does work to.

Miles really good idea there ! if you make up a set in diffrent asa size's as a set would be good for those that load there own films ie with Kaccema ,
would buy some from you ?
Hi ...Yep let me know if ya need some and I will happly print em for ya. we only have ektachrome 160 and kodachrome in the fridge to test the fit on. I will post up the stl for those with access to 3d printers to.
I also made up one to plug the daylight filter hole….this old film needs all the light it can get ha ha. 8O
I have a whole series to use with russian reloadable cardridges (first you have to widen the notch because it is rated IE 50) with some scrap plywood cutted with an x-acto knife. A bit cheaper than a 3d printer!

I knew something about that. I thought it was one stop for each decade though. I'm not sure if it's meant for something more properly stored in a fridge or ones left in regular temperature?
Yep i did a test to see what the best exposure was needed for this 30 year old film stock was….it was one stop for the kodachrome and 4 stops for the ektachrome. both are the same age…i guess kodachrome is just tougher against the elements.
Came out nice! Looks like they belong in that cartridge! You should tell the guy from super8data about it and give him the files. I wonder how he would categories it? So that cartridge is 30 years past its due date and wasn't stored in the fridge? Wonder what would happen if you tried processing as a positive?
Hi Slashmaster
Im using an UP mini printer….had it for over a year ...its never let me down so i highly recommend it. I probably printed 10kg so far with it…. I'm using cheap $40 per kg filament to …you get finer results with the $80 expensive stuff but Its fine for doing most things.
not sure how to attach the stls here
here is the links to them on the 123design website…you can export them as an stl to print

Alright! You know how the larger diameter core a film is stored on, the better it has consistent focus when played? Not to mention, the faster it rewinds? Well I was thinking make a 2 piece snap together reel with the 5" diameter that typical 200 foot reels have but instead, have it with a huge core that only 100 feet can fit on. I believe 5" is the capacity of the cube so lots of people can do it if done one piece at a time.
