Well, maybe i'm being too harsh on Kodak, scaling down to the much smaller coater machine that Ferrania inherited is what Kodak would like to build for smaller production, but is way too costly. And keeping my fingers crossed that Kodak's touch screen film will keep their big roller busy enough to make MP film on the side, as they plan to do.

It is my understanding that Kodak also have a similar "mini-coater" which has always been used for R&D but never for actual end production. Somehow, I doubt Kodak will be doing much R&D into film stocks now or in the future.
