GK films - problems with order

Post by portomomo »

Hello, it's my first post here so, if it's in the wrong section, please forgive me...

My question: has anyone bought S8 cartridges from GK Films in Germany lately?
Something weird is happening to me: I've ordered and paid almost two months ago and the films
were never delivered....
Mr. GK isn't answering emails nor my phone calls. Something happened?
Any informations?
Thank you in advance.

GK film doesn't understand English (or proper business conduct).
It has been discussed several times here. Everything takes months and months
or doesn't work out at all.

Website
CINEVIA (March 23rd, 2014)

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
liebe Filmfreunde,

zur Zeit ist unser Super 8 Cinevia Film vergriffen.
Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass wir in absehbarer Zeit wieder liefern können.

Dear customer,

currently our Super 8 cinevia film is not available.
We are confident , that we can deliver again next time.

GK-Film GmbH
Supposedly the films were traded by some website which also supplied processing.
If these can help? Oops, they are gone. The site www.cinevia.eu is now operated by GK itself

Otherwise try http://www.super8.nl who has been a partner of GK for a while (but no longer).
Kind regards,

André

Thank you André.
I was talking to Mr Klose directly, by phone and in German. :)
The S8 cartridges were ordered directly from him.
After the first month I called him and he said something about a parcel that he sent but was missing.
He promised he would check and since then no news (after 2 more emials)
Now he's not answering any phone calls.
Next step will be sending him a letter and then... call the police :|
I'm very disappointed.

Even worse.

Better send the police immediately. In Germany police takes these kinds of business frauds and failures quite seriously.
I have applied twice (in some 10 year) for police help involving eBay purchases.
It certainly wakes up the seller. If not by telephone then a green-white BMW or VW stopping in front of the house does the trick.

I recall sending the police on GK film has been suggested here before :)
Kind regards,

André

Hi,

since several years ago Mr. Klose does have some serious health problems. Hence sometimes Mr. Klose isn't able to work. Therefore he isn't reachable via phone as he isn't in his office.

Hi Jörg,
thank you for your answer.
Something like that would explain the lack of shipment but not the total lack of communication.
Mr. Klose told me, the only time I've got him on phone, he had sent the order but he would send it again.
Both statements are not verifiable by me, and since I've never got problems with parcels... he could send
me the proof of postage.
Ok, I will sent him a official letter, giving him 10 days to answer. (the payment was made 27th of February 2014).
Will keep you updated.

News on this matter and final considerations.

Two weeks ago I decided to send Mr. Klose an "official" letter, an exhortation to send the items or pay the money back,
within 10 days.
After some days I get an email saying they would transfer the money back.
He wrote about allegedly having had personal problems.
This in my point of view can be an justification of not being able to evade orders, but a short reply to my insistence
would have made the whole process a lot easier.
And cannot justify his first attempt of trying to blame the postal services, saying that he actually sent the films.
That was simply untrue. He never sent the films.

The money transfer arrived today, I'm just upset about the time lost in the whole process, the necessity
of using stronger means to convince the man that he was doing wrong, and, of course, the delay of the film project.

Lesson learned: cheaper isn't automatically better. ;-)

Too bad that all these services and products get frustrated in this way.

That makes on wonder how ADOX gets these Klose cartridges delivered.

One would now, considering you story, expect that they have the platic-casting production of these in their own hand.
Fotoimpex is big enough to deal with these kind of things.
Kind regards,

André
