Hi everyone
I am quite new to the modern super 8mm film stocks that are available, I only got back into using the format a few months ago and was wondering if somebody might be able to explain the codes on the packaging of modern Kodak film stock.
Back when I used to use Kodachrome 40 the box the cartridge came in displayed a process by date in a white panel on the side of the box. This same area of the box now contains some kind of code that apart from the film type, I cant make any sense of.
Can anybody help?
Cheers
Mike

Re: Kodak film codes
Basically the code on the side of the box is the basic stock code(i.e. 7266,7285,7213,etc) and the wide roll number. The first four digits (7266,etc) are film type the next digits are the wide roll and the following digits are the slit sequence on the wide roll.

Kodak gives all the procedures of use and precautionary measures on buying their products. Otherwise i'd advise visiting their website.
