Super 8 film "The Last City in the East" now on DVD

Post by grainy »

Hi folks, hope you don't mind a quick plug for my groovy little film "The Last City in The East", which was shot on TriX Super8 and is now available on DVD via Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Last-City-East-Pa ... 00H4P7I7M/

The film is about underground poet Paul Dickinson, who returns to the city that made him: St. Paul, Minnesota.

Full of grit, humor, and a mystical urban romanticism, Paul D. Dickinson soars in this surprise triumph of a film. The DVD also includes a previously unreleased recording of Dickinson reading live at the legendary Turf Club of St. Paul.

"Beautifully shot in Super 8 and Holga.. sharp-witted, imagery-rich wording." -Sheila Regan, CityPages

Official Selection: Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, Official Selection: Illinois International Film Festival, Official Selection: Tacoma Film Festival, Official Selection: Co-Kisser Poetry Film Festival, Official Selection: SENE festival, Official Selection: Frozen River Film Festival, Official Selection: Northwest Film Forum Local Sightings.

The official site has more info about the film plus some stills:

Thanks!

Thanks Grainy - I ordered a copy a couple of weeks ago. Amazon reports it should be here in the next month. Looking forward to seeing it.
