Worked with a friend yesterday hand developing using E6 some Agfa 200D S8 from Wittner. When we hung the film to dry it was all milky looking as though the development hadn't worked very well even though we had also developed some Kodak 100D using the same new chemicals and which came out fine. Strangely over the next 30 minutes hanging on the drying line the Agfa footage cleared up, losing all its previous milkiness and showing clear strong images.
Is this normal with Agfa stock?

Was it as John Schwind said, " like a swarm of mosquitos"?

I just saw some Agfa 200 super 8 on youtube. I don't think it is that bad. Sure, it is a grainy stock but it is most apparent when you have a scene will all one color such as a lot of sky in the background or all water. I'll bet John could sell a lot of this in Regular 8mm.

yes, this is normal with Aviphot. You never know how a new E6 stock is going to look when it is still wet. They all look different at this stage. Some look brown, some blue. The smoky wet Aviphot look is normal.
enjoy!
PS, I think Aviphot won't be to everyone's taste, but I am a fan myself, mostly because it is available. Sure, its not 100d, but it does work and many of our customers like the grain.
