Hi everyone! First time poster, wannabe film dude.
So, I found an Elmo C-200 Super 8 camera at an antique store for $60 and it looks like its in pretty good shape and comes with a bag and a box of super 8 film.
If i pick it up, My questions are the following:
1.) do they even still make super 8 film?
2.) I think I read that this only shoots video and no audio. Is this true?
3.) is it a pain to transfer to digital for editing?
Thanks in advance for any tips/hints!!

Re: Elmo c-200 super 8 questions
The camera does not shoot video nor record sound. It shoots to Super 8mm film.
Search these forums and you'll find info as to what film is still manufactured.
Kodachrome is no longer made or developed.
If you want to record sound, use a digital recorded and have fun syncing it up in a decent Video Editor after you have had the film transferred to video.
Since the camera does not record at a constant speed, it will be necessary to adjust either the speed of the film-transferred-to-video or the sound to obtain sync.
Find a good source to do the digitizing of the film to video. I do this professionally all the time and it does require special equipment to do it right.
