My handheld Photo-Sonics 70mm-14s arrived the other day, i.e. http://www.flickr.com/photos/90929958@N00/
It shoots 14 perf (KS-1870) 70mm Type 2 film. Single frame up to a top speed of 20 FPS. Maximum reel capacity with acetate film is 100 FT lasting approximately 11 secs at 20 FPS. Polyester based film has a capacity of 150 FT. The transport is in beautiful condition and turns freely. 28 volts. Reflex viewing with unknown cutoff mask. Photo-Sonics modified medium format lens mount, i.e Pentax SMC Takumar/6x7 105mm f2.4.
The variable shutter has a range of 1/125 to 1/8000 secs.
My local lab has an unused 'portable" 70mm processor but it has been designated as a longterm project only. They sold me 80 feet of polyester film rated at approximately 5 ASA. Currently investigating 70mm developing tanks, splicers and drying racks. But where oh where is a local 50-80 Mega-pixel scanner to do justice to this frame?

Note the 200 FPS 16mm sub-miniature 1VN Photo-Sonics "preview' camera fixed to the left of the camera. Apparently this was a custom job designed for a cinematographer who would then bale from a chase plane and record his descent simultaneously in high speed 16mm and in the huge data rich 70mm format.
