best DSLR for transfer of film to video
anyone using a DSLR to transfer their super8 or 16mm to video. my current setup is five blade projector to Canon XL-1, but im interested in increasing video image quality, so wondering if anyone has thoughts regarding this matter?

Well it depends on a lot of things. Do you want the camera to double as normal camera or is it strictly for telecine? Will you use it to take still images or use the video mode? Will you sync the projector to the camera or will you sync the camera to the projector?
If you want to take stills you should go for something without a mechanical shutter, or that has a function to turn it off. Mechanical shutters wear out. Also I imagine speed is important you need a camera that can take a lot of images per second.
If you want to use the videomode you should choose a hackable camera so you can bump up the bitrate.
for stills perhaps the older pro dslrs like Nikon d70, it has 3fps continuous and uses a ccd with electronic shutter. Canon_EOS-1D has 8 fps and also electronic shutter and ccd.
for video perhaps the panasonic gh series. It has very good video and is hackable.
