USB for Telecine

Post by gaugefilm »

Hi all,

I'm hoping to have the telecine service up and running in my shop for the 1st of April. For the first month I'll be outputting to USB stick only. I'm guessing people will want to use these files on a mac as well as a pc so I'm wondering what USB sticks are best suited to bridge the PC to MAC/ MAC to PC issue (if this even is an issue now). Some of my older USB sticks needed to be reformatted to move from PC to MAC or vis versa. I simply need to stock a good brand of USB stick in my shop that can shift between both.

All the best

I've actually been using USB sticks for a while now. I actually buy a new stick for each transfer and keep the stick with the returned film box after I move the files to a hard drive.

I don't think PC/MAC is an issue anymore with USB sticks. I'm on a Mac and never had to format one.
