Should hope the trend and topic is a bit premature...
Although the photos are real fragment in time from the recent past.

Excellent nostalgic view of film in this article. Like it says, movie theaters have been exhibiting more and more in digital. By the end of the year in the USA distributors will no longer be providing new movies on film. If your theater hasn't converted to digital they will be relegated to showing old movies, or they will go out of business according to John Kehe in the article " A reel cinema's digital divide" in CSM March 11, 2013.
