Will Kodak release its formula & machine to a small company

With the end of E100D there is no chance to shoot Super 8mm for me. Using negatice or B/W is out of question.

Now, we understand that Kodak cannot continue to supply E100D due to low market, but that os a point of view from a big company. it will be a different case if the E100D is made by a small company with small staffs. It wil be more efficent obviously because many factors.

Kodak will obviously scrap their machines, but it will be very noble things if Kodak donates the machine and formula to a small company so the production can continue. Of course the brand name must be different to distinguish with Kodak.

Something similar to The Impossible Project where former Polaroid employees purchased the factory and continue to make film for some Polaroid cameras. But will Kodak do this?

kodak use the same coating machine for all their motion picture stocks, and they are down to one coating machine in the world. This machine is HUGE (which is the problem). They do have the ability to coat emulsion in their R and D division on a small machine, but this isn't (at this stage) for commercial purposes.

No, no problem. As long as the labs that currently process E6 don't have to close their E6 lines due to lack of volume given the end of Ektachrome.
