Golden Eye Telecine for Small Gauge

Post by Will2 »

While I don't think anything is going to beat Fred's AVI script (and probably any scan could benefit from that), I was wondering what the "high-end" market in film scanners was up to.

I spoke with a someone at a new restoration house called Process Blue that just installed a Golden Eye III film scanner that can handle any thing from 70mm down to Regular 8mm in 2K and 4K. He worked on a Spirit 2K for many years and is more please with the results from this scanner and even likes it better than the Scannity machine. Of course that is subjective but I'm hoping to have some samples and comparisons soon.

Has anyone else worked with a Golden Eye scanner? I believe they are a Swedish company.
