16mm and R8 processing service in the UK

Post by gaugefilm »

Hi all,

Just want to remind UK folks that I started running a 16mm D-19 and E-6 reversal service last month.

In order to keep the 16mm processing/process paid services going after this month I really need to be selling a minimum of three colour processes and three b&w processes a month. Last month I only sold one of each. Anyway I just thought I should mention it. I hope this post doesn't get taken down, I'm not trying to promote myself here (and it's definitely not for the money), I just want film makers in the UK to take full advantage of the service before it's gone. It would be a terrible shame to terminate the service after only a few months of it going up but the 16mm film stock and processing just isn't selling at all.

The service also took quite a big chunk of cash to set it all up what with getting the 100ft tank, splicer, projector, film stock from Kodak... ect. I hope I don't have to cut my loses on 16mm I really don't. Please help keep 16mm reversal in my shop.

Also for any standard 8 shooters out there a new E100D service began today. In September there should be some B&W stock available as well so enjoy that.

Best
Kevin

To test the waters for starters you had better stuck with R8 which you can process in a LOMO UPB-1.
A Euro 5 splitter would have sufficed then :)

Better now start advertising in a place where there are 16mm users.
Try cinematography.com and/or a private website.

This thread will get only 30-40 views. And likely only from 1-3 16mm users.
It is a musunderstanding to think others view it later on. Or through a backdoor or something.
There is no crowd to tap into.

Try leaving your address with mr Nowill, I suppose he knows a few R8 shooters. :)

Good luck.
Kind regards,

André
