Tormat 8 EEZ

Post by skateboarder »

Hi,

I just recently bought a Tormat 8 EEZ at a flea market. From what i understand it is a camera that films in 8mm. This is my first experience with a camera like this so i have a few questions.

Is this a good camera? Has anyone else used it?

Does anyone know the proper film to use for this camera, or is it kind of the same type of film for all super 8 cameras? Is Kodak Ektachrome 100D a film anyone would suggest? I'm going to film in regular daylight if that helps any.

Thanks.

Hi,

according these webpage, it's really a Japanese double8-camera:

http://wichm.home.xs4all.nl/cinelisc.html#T
(I've never heard of this camera or its maker (Tor Optical Co. Ltd) before.)

Double8 differs from Super8 (incl. DS8 and Single8) in various aspects (perforation, ...). Hence filmstocks available for Super8 don't have to be available for Double8 (and vice versa).
