Sounds like a good idea! Probably wouldn't be the future for all of Kodak, but certainly a good way to keep a few more people employed and get that idle machinery back to work for a sensible purpose.

Manufacturering solar panels, likely at a loss, is hardly good news when it was a film factory.

In city of Enschede in Netherlands the Polaroid factory with some machines was reopend to produce Polaroid again...
Better news. The unfrotunate thing is that is terribly expensive to use.
