Thank you Jörg!
The magnetofon web page I did find but it doesn't give any clue about the practical value of the system.
The megativ web site is new to me - it explains why nobody but you on this forum has replied: the Synputer was made in Vienna and it seems they never really got international.
What I find interesting: when you look closely you can see the image of the viewer with the electronic units on the instruction manual and it seems that the electronic units are screwed to the top of the viewer and they came as a package (which makes sense ofcourse as the viewer needs some alteration to be able to adjust the speed to the pulse frequency).
I am actually using the Braun system (2000 Visacustic + Steuergerät) for synchronised sound; just wanted to know whether the Synputer is any good maybe as a backup.

So for those of us that don't read German, what does it do? Is it an elaborate double system sound
synchronizer?

There isn't much of a description, it just says that there are two parts of the Synputer coming with the Goko viewer; it is possible to do synchronisation same speed as the film goes or alternatively off speed. The pictures make it clear that the synchronisation is done via pulses or perforated tape.

Cool, but a terrible name: "synputer"?

Though I do wish I could read about it.
