E100D 1080P results

Post by Tscan »

I posted a you-tube of this clip on another topic as a short film and didn't get much traffic. Here is a Vimeo of the same clip. 80% is E100D with some V3 200T at the end. Scanned at 1080P uncompressed at lightpress in Seattle, this clip is nearing the full potential of S8 and I like it. Check it out if you havent!

hey there
I believe I commented on your other posting as well, just echoing my earlier statements, I think you captured the "era" look perfectly and that 1080 transfer makes it feel like a time machine, love it

Nice shots, really shows off the stock.

Lightpress does a great job. I was able to visit them for a session last year and they are doing some amazing work in and out of film. They really get the most out of their Thompson Shadow (little but very capable brother of the Spirit). It's the only Shadow I know of with a Super 8 gate.

your vimeo 100D clip leaves nothing to the wish list. absolutely great!

i think YouTube SUX. There is something absolutely wrong there. i have posted clips there which absolutely tops similar stuff posted by a 100 times but the hit rate is 5% compared with the shitty clips so there must be a business quirk involved - especially after The GooGleSUCKERS bought YT.it seems like it is now all and only about money.

Vimeo is much better and flexible.

Shoot.....

Thanks guys- Been using Lightpress/Flying Spot for years. Have yet to see S8 look so good on a transfer. I've had S8 500T come back from them before looking incredibley clean for 500ASA 8mm. Spectra is a close second... unless they get that new scanner up and running soon-

S8 500T always looks dull and usually grainy to me. But often that's because it's shot at the lowest light possible.

50D Negative in Super 8 is the way to go... perfect stock if you're transferring.
