Re: Timelapse Drive E100D
Very nice tscan! I have some questions because I've been thinking about how I would do the same thing.
Do you remember what the time interval between frames was?
How did you mount the camera in or on the vehicle?
What camera/time lapse unit did you use?
I was thinking about doing it from my home near Seattle to Portland. I could do a shot every 3 seconds and get the entire 3 hour drive on one 50 foot roll. If I could increase the frame rate to every 5 or 10 seconds it would make for a shorter film but I'm not sure if that would make it look too fast.

Thanks! I shot this one at 1fps with the Canon 814XLS. Used it in XL mode (1/30th sec exposure) for smoother motion blur and a 2 stop polarizer to compensate for the longer exposure time. I have done this on longer freeway trips at one frame every 5 seconds.

Very cool. I love Lightpress. They do a great job and their nice to work with.
Keep an eye out for a Kodak Analyst Super 8 camera. Sometimes you can find them for $10 on eBay. It is a time-lapse only camera and can be set for a really wide range of times. Not as good of a lens as your camera but so cheap you don't mind if the suction cup fails.
