My New Short Film

Post by Tscan »

Last year I filmed the natural colors of Spring here in Portland, OR. I put together this short for today the first day of spring. Most of it was filmed on S8 100D, with a little V3 200T. I has the transfer done at Lightpress (formerly Flying Spot) in Seattle. Got a 10bit uncompressed QT transfer and delivered to a hard drive. It's my first HD pro telecine and I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the results. Please watch and leave some feedback!

Nice! Sort of psychedelic at times. And beautiful transfer.

very nice, very sharp footage! The D100 really brings out the floral colors and sky. Which camera did you use?
Eric does a great job up there at lightpress.

(btw my own short is playing in Portland at the NW Film Center on thursday, shot on triX. Stop by and say Hi if you can!)

Right on -- all the info follows! Every time I see images from one of those high end Canon cameras it makes me think my Sankyo is only very good, but not great. I love the ultra fast lens and the cost ($25) but I'm thinking about stepping it up sometime. Maybe I'll sell my K3...

Anyway, see you there!
