Nokia 41 megapixel camera

41 megapixels is a crazy humungus number of pixels.

However the resolution of the output is still just the equivalent of 5 megapixels. What happens is that each pixel of the output is constructed from about 8 pixels of sensor input which is where the improvement over normal 5 megapixel camera would be. In other words it is not an improvement in resolution (same rez), but an improvement in "depth" (for want of a better word).
