Hey all
What do I need to do if I want my ektachrome 100d reversal to come out a tad on the yellowish side?
What about vision 3 500T?
thanks!

basic film/color question: yellow

Re: basic film/color question: yellow
Its pretty easy to do this digitally, the first thing you should shoot is a colour chart and then you can adjust it to your eye with colour correction software. The pros will often shoot a grey card and colour chart under neutral lighting so the colorist will set the settings to this 'normal' setting. Then the DP will add coloured gels to all the lights to get the effect they are after.
To do in camera your most straightforward way is to use a coloured filter on the lens or if you're really fancy you could have a tinge of yellow added if you are getting a timed print struck from your original film. Or as I mentioned in my post on redscale film you could just put a coloured filter in front of your projector lens if you want to add the effect to a film reel without risk.

thanks Woods -- I'll probably do it digitally. I guess I didn't think of that easy one, thinking in terms of in-camera but why alter the original if I don't have to...
