How far can one push Vision 3 50D?

Post by Nicholas Kovats »

I am aware of the general advantages regarding negative latitude. How far can I push this 50 ASA negative stock? 1, 2 or 3 stops? Any scanned examples?

Cheers!

I don't know, but there is no reason they can't push it down into the S8 and R8 formats!

I'd say 1-stop, without making the highlights look lousy. If you overexpose more than that, I'd suggest pull-processing.
I may sound stupid, but I hide it well.

Wado1942,

Why the suggestion to pull? I thought the method was actually push processing. I ended up rating the 50 ASA film at 400 ASA.
