I shot some more family pix for a friend. This was initially a test to see how my Nikon R10 would perform on a long sync master at 24 fps. The two minute + shot had very little drift. The B&W is Plus X R8 shot with a Bolex P1.

If I set the telecine camera at it's highest resolution then the image that is transferred to my hard drive, which I see on my computer screen, is very very close to what I see when looking through the viewfinder at the surface of the film. This is approximately a 3K transfer. Making changes in the camera's contrast setting can sometimes help too.

When I'm not using the printer I actually take it apart and store it away. That's where it is at the moment. When I have it set up next I'll take some moving pictures of it. Here is the only photo I have of the machine taken a few years ago with a Bolex on it instead of the Canon DSLR.
