Hi,
my "Porst Filmbetrachter 15" behaves like the batteries are close to empty when advancing the film via the motorised transport. However the batteries are fresh, the contacts are clear, the mechanic isn't stiff when operated manually, ...
.. any ideas :?:

No, Super8. As this viewer has been made by Eumig, there's a chance that it wasn't made exclusively for Porst, but that it also has been sold as "Eumig something", "Bolex something" or as some other "chain of shops' / mail-order-shop's own brand something"...

One possibility is that the motor or transport mechanics is too heavy due to lack of lube/high fricrion thus makking the current draw a bit too high for the battery capacity.
