I removed all visible screws, but the two black plastic shell will not separate.

Hello there,

I had one of these calibrated; and I believe you have to remove the label that runs along the top on the battery side of the meter. There are screws under there I believe. Good luck!

Hey. Just got a bolex exp. meter and the red aperture ring rotates out of position. Wondering if you ever got yours open and how. I would appreciate any info.

You must remove the center screw with a spanner and taking care before locating the positions of the dials.

Under the dials are two screws that allows separating the two hulls of the exposure meter.
