How to disassemble a Bolex exposure meter (for H Reflex)?

Post by joelpierre »

I just bought a Bolex light meter (for H Reflex).

It works well but there is "something" inside that moves and makes noise.

How can we disassemble this exposure meter?

I removed all visible screws, but the two black plastic shell will not separate.

Do you have an idea of how to disassemble the meter?

Problem solved

I thought that there were screws hidden under the metal label.

After unstuck the metal label, I realized that there was no hidden screws. :(

This left only one way:

After removing the stack of discs, washers and spring from the crown of indications, I found the two screws holding the two shells assembled.

The thing that was moving in the meter was a broken piece of a shell (a piece of thread from one of the screws, precisely).
