Still time before xmas for Super 8...

Post by reflex »

Just a quick note to let you know that Juergen's brilliant Super 8 Handbook is in stock at Amazon.com in the USA. Standard "super saver" shipping is free, or they can offer xmas delivery for a few dollars extra.

It looks like the filmshooting.com software automatically adds an affiliate link, so a few dollars from your purchase goes to support the site, too. :)

Nothing 'free' that I can see there, it's built into the price...

A few pitiful microcents per copy maybe???

Bah Humbug!

And a merry Xmas to one and all!

Amazon stocks the book in their warehouse and charges $11.91 per copy in commission and shipping fees. The company pays 6% of the total price to its affiliates - about $3.60 per book. That hardly qualifies as microcents and Filmshooting.com stands to make a few dollars.

It's being sold through my company on Amazon.com because I already have an Amazon warehouse fulfillment account. I'm not taking any profit on the books; the full sale price minus expenses will be forwarded to Juergen.

Ordering directly from Germany costs €49.95 + €5.95 postage to the US -- about $81 after exchange. This is an excellent way for Americans to get their hands on a great book for about $20 less than ordering it from Europe, without having to wait a couple of weeks.

Now, what's your problem again? :)

I'm ready for Christmas. I got 2 x Plus-X films and 1 x Tri-X in Super8 and a 500T in 16mm that I plan to shoot.

I also plan to burn some nitrate film, film it and put it on youtube!
