free music - string quartet ??

Post by Angus »

I'm editing a film which will promote an historical Englsih abbey. This is likely to be distributed fairly widely. Can somebody point me to some free music (fair to good audio quality) of a string quartet or similar which would be suitable to drop into pan shots of the abbey and it's surroudings?

Many thanks...I've got some copyright free music but nothing remotely suited to this.

If you aren't limited to string quartets: what about mdtmusic - Orchestral Filmmusic Collection
Track 1: A Moment Of Twilight
or Track 3: Eternity
or Track 5: Anna's Theme

Maybe a little bit too fast: filmmusic - ANODOS (only one track)
Maybe a little bit better suited: filmmusic - Floating (only one track)

http://www.freesound.org/people/thanvan ... nds/44844/ It's free - you'll only have to list the creator in your credits.

Or search for "string quartet" on freesound.org yourself ;-)

Musopen is another good source, and their mission is about free classical music.
