Hi everybody,
I just got a Beaulieu 6008 and I have a problem, I need some help..
When I press the lower button to switch it on (with aperture set on Auto), the motor runs pretty loudly and the aperture ring doesnt react to light .the aperture ring goes immediately to 16,in every light condition, and stays there while the motor keeps making drill noise.
What could it be?
I noticed that the internal light meter should be ok, since if I use it with manual, the yellow led light seems to react correctly to aperture changes...
Please some advises....Thanks

Re: Beaulieu 6008 trouble
It could be dirty contacts with the lens and the camera body. I had a similar problem with a 4008ZM2 and cleaning the contacts was the solution. Good luck. Jean

Check the wiring inside of the unit. With one wire loose it can happen that the aperture opens or closes fully as soon as exposure is switched on. I.e. the circuit never finds a balance and keeps on trying.merlin wrote:(i forgot to say, I'm pretty sure it depends on the Lens control Unit since i tried to put it on another BEaulieu body and the problem was the same,,,,,)but I stilll don't understand what could it be, motor problem??

Re: Beaulieu 6008 trouble
Open the rectangular housing on the lens and see if all wires are still connected to the pins. These engage the pads around the c-mount of the camera. If one is loose you may get these effects.

Better find some skilled help and/or a budget.
Depending on where you are there some options.
