Still film in Super 8

I am working with some still photographers and I have seen some amazing stills taken with stosks such as the Kodak Porta and Kodak Ektar. This has got me thinking whether this or other still stocks can be used Super 8 and what will it look like in Super 8. I know motion picture film is different than still films and needs different developing etc, but if this stock is lubricated well could it work well in DS8 or even Super 8 cartridges? Has anyone tried something like this?

Ektachrome 64T was originally a slide film that was cut down for Super 8. And more than one company loaded Fujichrome Velvia 50 into Super 8 cartridges. I believe the same was also done with Fujichrome 64T which apparently had finer grain than the Ektachrome 64T.

I haver just shot a short with Fujichrome 64T from Wittner. I can indeed confirm that it has finer grain than Ektachrome 64T and a really nice colour palette!

Both Wittner's Fuji 50D and Fuji 64T are cut from stills stock - they lubricate the film and I have shot several rolls and most have had good steadiness. The Porta and Ektar are C41 right?
