Sekonic 80P projector question

Post by Charlie Blackfield »

Just got back three rolls of Standard 8 film from Andec and enjoyed watching two of them on my manual-feed Sekonic 80P projector. Unfortunately, at the end of the second reel, the belt broke. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to open up the projector properly. All I could figure out is that I have to remove three screws (which I've done) and then have to remove the speed and power selector buttons. On this last one, I've tried to work out how it can be done, but to no avail. Any hints or tips would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
Charlie

To answer my own question: I wasn't missing a trick. The power and speed selectors just need a lot of violence and determination to come off. Luckily the projector looks still okay, so I'll soon get a new belt and hopefully put it back into action.
