Nostalgia. Nice view on a world which is no longer there. Although a few places may still look the same.
Even poor people seem to enjoy life when on Kodachrome
Another advantage of non-digital registration.
And there were hardly fat people in those days.

I guess that Kodachrome was much more expensive than B&W reversal or slides back in the 1940s: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 249AAWKbJL says: "color ... $3 -$5 a roll plus $4 for processing ...
