Another concern would be that the unit looks to use a drum type of perforator. This type of design has been known to cause registration problems, but that doesn't mean this unit could not produce steady images.
I would just be a little surprised. The one row of 16mm perfs is a deal killer
for me...

Drum type perforators are what they use in factories when they need to produce kilometers of film. Like Kodak. Only the drum is bit bigger :)

hmmm... interesting, but do you know that for a fact, having seen it yourself, or were you told about it by someone? No attempt at offense, I just would like to know because everything I have run across about perfing film points to a pin-registered stamp and die arrangement. Lenny Lipton wrote about this years ago. About five or six years ago I looked into if any company made perfing equipment and I found one in Europe that made stamps and dies which they claimed Kodak was a customer. I couldn't afford to get into it. This is just my curiosity getting the better of me. If a drum could be made to produce the needed quality that would certainly be the easiest and fastest method for sure.
