Derann calling it quits

Post by etimh »

Not sure if there are many film collectors here, but the word is that Derann Film Services, the worlds largest distributor of new and used Super 8 films, is shutting down. I've bought just a few titles from them over the years but this is undoubtedly a real blow to the film collecting side of the Super 8 world.

Nothing on Derann's website yet but there are some details and discussion over at the 8mm Forum and the Small Format Film Forum.

This is sad news. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did.

Checked NEWS and it only mentions stock clearance on Sept. 11 at low prices.
