Re: Oxymoron? Super 8 HD camera?
Well, there are so many scanservices who produce HD video that it is justified to call the film camera HD producing...
With a good lens and proper film it could work out quite nicely
If only Kodak technical pan would be available in S8...
Kahl used to sell a ISO 12 document film in S8. Perforating an archival microfilm should be good. Easily available and cheap.

Elmo even sold several HD-projectors back then, e.g.:Andersens Tears wrote:A promotional Super 8 HD camera has turned up on eBay.....

And Carena, Cosina and Kobana sold cameras better than "HD" and hence named them "HDL", e.g.:

BTW: My Sony-video-recorder had got a large "HD"-sticker on it - because it has got an integrated hard-disk! -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hd . And my Canon 514 XL-S AF even already had full WWW-support back in the 1970s! (Even though WWW was just Canon's abbreviation for "world wide warranty" )
In other words: Caveat emptor!
