quarz 5 lens quality
is the quarz 5 zoom better then the super 8 quarz lens? i have seen std.8 footage on youtube shot with a std. 8 quarz that looks preferable to the super 8 quarz footage!?

The standard 8 ( & double Super 8 ) Quarz 5 has a fixed in position lens while that on the Super 8 Quarz is removable. Also I think there is more than one type of zoom lens available for the Super 8 Quarz. However, I cannot think they can be that different and it is probably down more to the transfer process than anything else.
Of course, it could be down to the old debate about the Quarz 5 having a proper gate while the Supe 8 relies on the cartridge as part of the gate. :?:
