eumig nautica problem!!!

Post by bradisthefad »

hey so i just got a eumig nautica from a friend and every time i look through the viewfinder i can see a shade of green in the top right corner and sometimes a shade of red in the bottom right corner. are these the filters? and is this going to show up on my film. i dont have enough time with a test reel so i am trying to see if anyone else has dealt with this.
Help Me!!
major question is: is what you see in the viewfinder gonna be what the film looks like.

There is also a great article her http://home.pacbell.net/mnyberg/super8mm/super8_17.html BUT you may have to close a page that says it's "unavailable" in order to read it!

I've never used one of these cameras but by your description I would guess it has to do with the exposure meter. Green meaning "ok to shoot" and red meaning "over or underexposure". I would guess when it is functioning properly that the green area would move into view a little more or a needle would swing between the red and green areas. I highly doubt whatever it is will show up on the final image.

Green is an indicator that the camera is running...it wiggles!
Red says "not enough light"!
