Hey Matt!
Who are your customers? I mean, are they mainly professionals or mostly home movie owners?

I'm starting up a similare service built on the WP3 here in Norway in September. I've already done some jobs and I've showed off the results to some pros and they loved it. Guess my main target will be the professionals because there are already many people doing transfers for "regular" people.

What do you do in addition to transfer the films, do you clean and lubricate them aswell? Do you do negative films? (I will)

No, I mean, I'm now earning some cash to buy one. I'll just do enough transfert to refund the workprinter. Maybe mainly 8mm cause in the telecine house I work , like many ,( We have a Quadra & a Pogle ) they don't transfer 8mm standart.
But I'm not sure I can legaly make money on it.

Hi, Matt!

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Between building units and dealing with an ongoing family health issue, I haven't had much time to respond to posts or emails.

First off, the WorkPrinter units are multi-national! They work fine for both PAL and NTSC. Actually, if anything, they work more effeciently for PAL since 24/25fps footage doesn't need a speed conversion like it does on NTSC.

Beyond that, shipping and handling would be $120 to France. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Nils Petter Molvaer is famous, the other ones I don't know except I might have heard the name Eivind Aarset somewhere...

Eevind Aarset is Nils petter Molvaer guitarist but does also solo LP produced by Bugge Wesseltoff label ( a little family ).
Do you like Molvaer stuff ? I personnaly love it. See twice on stage.
Did you had to create a business compagnie in order to do transfer ? What kind of IEEE93 cam do you use ? Is there pro telecine house that provide S8 transfer in norway ? How much would you expect for your services ?

Yes I have a company for the transfer jobs and yes I sort of had to create one to earn money, but I already had one so it didn't involve much work.

I use a Panasonic NVMX300 (3CCD) camera, no and don't know yet (short answers to your questions)
