Shooting 100D in Nizo S801 Macro.....Question?
I'm going on a trip and purchased some 100D. My Nizo s801 Macro is all juiced up "wein celled" for the meter. Now, what should the film type indicator be switched too? The Sun or the Light Bulb setting? I've read a couple of different things on here so I want to be clear. Thanks.

Re: Shooting 100D in Nizo S801 Macro.....Question?
I believe the Nizo has a filter notch reader. As such, the filter will be automatically cancelled by the camera. I also believe that whith nizo cameras at least, the filter switch will still effect the asa, even though the filter is already switched out by the cartridge. To check if your nizo works this way, do the following:
insert a cartridge of 100d
with the camera on auto and the filter switch on 'daylight' (picture of the sun), take a ready of a fairly evenly lit subject.
now switch the filter switch while still looking at the subject.
if the needle moves (sure it might 'twitch' but I mean if you get a movement of about 2/3rds of a stop) then you need to leave the filter switch on the daylight setting. Switching to 'bulb' will mean the film gets rated at 160 asa.
Do do the test, not all nizos are created equally.

Re: Shooting 100D in Nizo S801 Macro.....Question?
Hi Richard,
I have already done it, and that was exactly what was confusing the heck out of me. When I turn to bulb setting, I get about a 2/3rds increase (the meter moves from f8 to just right under f11.
So in conclusion I will leave the filter switch to the sun/daylight setting.
In daylight AND in artificial light I will use the sun/daylight setting,
when using Kodak 100d purchased from Kodak.
If that is incorrect, please let me know.
Thanks Richard,
Todd

That is right, you want it on the "sun" setting or you will be under exposed by 2/3rds. I use the 401 and 561 for a few years, the 801 is the same.
